Anyway, I thought you should know... I finished the Percy Jackson series! :D

I'm very pleased with how it ended and I can't wait to get my hands on The Lost Hero. In fact, My mother took me to Borders on Saturday night. While there, I read the first chapter and I have to say, it's quite good. I really got into it (which is good because I have a really hard time getting into books from the start). After Borders we went to another book store at the mall where I got this:

Yes. That is Darren Criss (Left) and Chris Colfer (Right). On the cover of EW. You have no idea how much I was freaking out. Last year no one (except a small group of awesome fans) knew who Darren Criss was. Now...now he's on Glee. He's also on a magazine cover with a Golden Globe winner. I'm just really happy for him I guess. :]

Enough of that, Adria. Calm yourself down. My gosh.

Riiiiiiight... Got it.

So I finished the series. Yeah. Pretty cool. The funny thing was, the next day I was feeling sad that it was over so I went on a fan blog. And all over that fan blog there were posts that said "Happy Birthday Logan!" and I'm like, "O.o what?"

I did some Googling and...as it turns out, Logan Lerman, the guy who plays Percy in the movie...his birthday was January 19th. I finished the Last Olympian on January 19th. Wow.

So this has been a post where I fan-girl over Darren/Chris on EW and Percy Jackson. Thank you. :}

My failed attempt at drawing a Hydra:

I didn't even bother shading...Drawing is not something I'm particularly good at.

As you can see, I only managed to get one of the heads decent; if you could see the others you'd understand. Plus, It ended up looking too cute. I mean, look at it! It could be Figment's cousin.

Moving on now...Sunday was my mother's birthday, we spent the evening at my grandparent's house. It was really nice. :]

On the ride home I got a phone call.

Before I tell you about the call you should know we were trying to make it back for the Golden Globes. Chris Colfer was nominated for "BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN A SERIES, MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE" for his performance as Kurt Hummel in Glee.

Anyway, we were rushing home to watch the Golden Globes and Maya called me. She told me that Chris had won. I was freaking out. She described the whole thing and then I just started bawling.

Once I got home I watched the moment on Youtube and cried some more. He was so shocked! It was adorable. I felt like a proud mama.

Eh, well...

HELLO. I'm sorry for my lack of posting but I promise I don't forget...I come here every day but I just have nothing to post about. I haven't left my house since last year! Get it? 'Cause last year was two weeks ago? lolololol! ...No? Okay.

Also, I love Percy Jackson. ~~WOW,random~~ I won the contest with my brother but we still had to share the third book. It's all good though; I pulled ahead and now I'm almost done with the forth. I may finish it tonight.

So that was a quick little update. I'll try to post sooner!

I know, I know...I'm late. Again.

It's not my fault! Really. I'm just terribly bad at keeping track of time. I've been really ~~stressed~~ distracted lately. In fact it really hasn't sunk in that it's 2011. I keep looking to the side of my computer screen and it says 1/3/2011 and I just keep going on with life like it's nothing different. I'm truly sorry for my lack of posting. :( I'll try to make up for it with some pictures.

Before I post them, you should know, I had a sleepover with Maya on Wednesday, she stayed until around 10:30-ish on New Years Eve...so I haven't seen her since last year. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! <---Ignore me. Anyway, you should [also] know Maya is the best friend anyone could ever have...ever. She's just the coolest, funniest, nicest person you could ever meet. So yeah. We get on well. :] Anyway she gave me the best Christmas gifts this year. She really put a lot of thought into them. I mean, she really did.

She gave me:

Believe it or not, a Buzz Lightyear action figure was on my Christmas list but Maya got me the next best thing...Buzz in Lego form. Yeah. I got to build my new friend. So, I'm pretty stoked.

Hey everybody!

How was your Holiday? Did you enjoy it? I sure enjoyed mine. :] It was a little different than last year but it was still nice. I spent it with my family in Fredericksburg.

I know I said I would post pictures of our nicely decorated house but...I kind of lost track of time as well as lost my camera's USB cable. :3 Oops! Well, I'm here now and I found my cable. Yaaay!

One Week

I wish I could pause time...maybe I'm just saying that because I have a cold, but I think the month has gone by way too fast.

Anyway, it snowed yesterday. The first real snow of the season, nothing like last year of course, where the snow was up past my knees. Most of it has melted now but it's still nice (I hope there's more soon). :]

I'm back!

Now, you're probably wondering where I went (or you really don't care...) since I'm known to take short breaks from posting…but I did go somewhere.

I went to Tennessee to visit my cousins. I had a great time! I went with my grandparents (we drove) on Monday and came back to Virginia on Friday.

While I was there I went to work with my Aunt -who is an art teacher at my cousin, Joseph’s elementary school- to help set up for "International Children's Day", which is an event held every year at a few select schools across the country. The fifth graders sing, dance, read poems and essays...It's really cool. I wish my school had done neat stuff like that. My school only cared about French people. We held a French concert every year and thanks to my old school; I can now sing a song about puppets in French (of course I have no clue what I'm saying, but I can.).

I also got to go see my cousin, Caroline's band concert. It was awesome! Caroline plays the flute. My mom played the flute, too. I play nothing.

I got to do a lot of cool stuff while I was there, including getting to see my friend Alex from swim team. :] You see, her dad lives in Virginia, so during the summer she comes here to do swim and the rest of the year she lives with her mom in Tennessee. It was really nice getting to see her.

But now I'm home. That means: back to school work and getting ready for Christmas. I’ll post pictures of our house once we finish decorating...My mom did a lot of decorating while I was gone. I mean, I walked in and it looked like Christmas Eve (minus the tree)!

P.S. I need to obsess about A Very Glee Christmas real quick...That episode was freakin' amazing! Although it lacked Kurt and a believable plot line, it was still cute and the songs were perfect.

I have now come to the conclusion that Brittany and Coach Beiste are most selfless people on Glee. I love them to death.

Geckos

So, yesterday I got to go to the National Geographic Museum with a homeschool group. We went to see the Gecko exhibit. It was pretty awesome but the best part didn't even have anything to do with Geckos...

You see, after we got to the Museum a school bus pulled up and it was exact same school that my dad used to work at! It gets even better... Of all the teachers in the school it was my dad's old co-worker and my best friend Maya's mom that went with the school group. Ha! Pretty cool. :)
Anyway, here are the pictures:

Thanksgiving and my Harry Potter Movie review

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving (If you celebrate it, that is). I sure did! I spent it at my grandparents with my mom's cousin and her family. It was a nice dinner. :)
After dessert, I went to see Harry Potter with my parents. In short, it was the best one yet. They did change a few things and cut a few things but it helped it flow better. In all, I wasn't very disappointed. I will say there is a reason it's rated PG13, the content is very adult (for more than one reason). It was a great movie and I'm shocked that I even saw it.

After the movie I saw the gigantic cardboard poster triangles with the Golden Trio (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) and decided that I wanted one so, I asked the customer service when they would be done with them. They said not for another week or so, but they let me give them my phone number so they can call me when they're done with it. They also gave me a mini poster:

Self-Expression

Hello bloggers :)

Sorry I haven't posted in so long (again...) but I'm back. Yay!

Anyway...Yesterday I decided to decorate my room a little. I felt I needed to express myself a little more (hence the title). After all my walls were pretty boring, just a poster here and there. So, I got out some scissors and some old magazines and got to work.

Here's what I ended up with:

Let me start off by saying, I am not a Zac Efron fan...However, I am a
Starkid/A Very Potter Musical fan so I thought it was fitting to have a
"Boss Zefron Poster" in my room. I think I'll be taking it down soon..
It kind of scares me. >.<

I'm not done but I also covered my cabinets up with magazine cut-outs.

I still have a lot more to do in my room but it's a good start...I was also really bored so this is usually what happens. :]

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I haven't really done anything worth posting about...I've mostly been sitting at home watching way too much TV. I really need to get out. :-/
I don't mean to neglect my blog, but it's kind of hard to post when you've got nothing to write about. :(

In other news, if you Google "Most hated family in America" then you should find the protesters from Westboro Baptist Church. Yeah...they pretty much hate everyone. Anyway, for some deranged reason, they decided to protest our local high school (Woodbridge High School). A bunch of people we thinking about counter protesting but the school system said that if any student participated then they would be written up. That didn't stop anybody. About 200 people (mostly students) showed up in comparison to the five from Westboro. So what did the WBC people do? They left. Haha! I, myself didn't go, but I kinda wish I had. I had friends that did go though.

On a lighter note...Darren Criss was on Glee last week! *Squeal* His vision of Teenage Dream ranked #1 on iTunes and he's been promoted to a series regular! Awesome chizz.

On another light note...Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes out on Friday. *Squeal* <---Again.

Halloween

So, last night was Halloween and my brothers and I got dressed up and went Trick or Treating like we do every year, only this year we went with no parental supervision. Exciting chizz. We went with a group of my brother's friends. It was fun but very different from our old neighborhood. We stopped by this huge random mansion in our neighborhood (it's really weird that we have a mansion around here since we live with a group of town homes), they gave out full sized candy...my favorite kind of candy. ;)

Some people up the street from our house get together a "Hunted house" attraction thing every year. Apparently it's a big deal because there was a huge line just to get into someone's garage. We saw a few kids from our swim team while we were there. Sterling was freaking out the whole time when we were in line, he kept on hiding his face in my cloak saying, "I wanna go back!" over and over but when we finally went through he was all, "That was lame. Let's do it again!"

Happy Halloween!

Ah...Tonight's going to be awesome! Trick or Treating in a new neighborhood can be very exciting when you've gone Trick or Treating in the same place your entire life. Yes, I'm 15 and I'm still going Trick or Treating. Problem?

I'm short. I get mistaken for an 11 year old; I think I can get away with it. :)

Anyway, I don't think I've said what I'm going to be yet...Well; I’m going as a "Hogwarts Student" with a wand and a Nimbus 2000. What now? I think I'm ready to kick some Death Eater butt!

Now enough about Halloween, I think I should explain the second half of my title (the "restoring sanity" part). Yesterday, some of you might have heard that political comedians John Stewart and Stephen Colbert got together a rally in Washington DC to kind of protest the Tea Party. My mom and I got to go. :D

For something that was trying to restore sanity it was pretty insane...The amount of people I mean. There were sooo many people from all over the country just to come and listen to two comedians talk about America. Most of the time we couldn't hear anything but that's okay, we read signs. There were tons of them. Most of them didn't really mean anything, they were just funny signs. A lot of people dressed up in costume, I found Waldo about ten times. There were so many different types of people, Democrats and Republicans alike, all in one place agreeing on one thing: We need to restore sanity, because the Tea Party is insane

Homecoming

...Was Saturday night.

It was okay, I mean the decorations were really cool, and the music was good but as it turns out...we ended up going home early. But that's okay, we got some really cool pictures! The theme was awesome, Dr. Seuss (eh.), Willy Wonka (eh.), Star Wars (ew.), and Harry Potter (Boo-Yaah!).

I think the most fun was when we stole the Harry Potter cut-out and walked around with it. We were going to ask if we could have it at the end of the night but we didn't stay that long.

Sorry. I'm just so excited. Harry Potter has been my life since I was nine and pretty soon it will be all over. :(

The good news is Warner Brothers has released 9 new TV spot trailers! That's 9x the Potter or in a few clips 7 Potters (If you read the book you know what I mean).

Dress Shopping

So in this post I said that I'll be attending homecoming at my friend Maya's school.

Apparently it's customary to dress nice for homecoming, which would mean wearing a dress. I learned last year that the dress I wore to the winter formal for homeschoolers was not a good one for dancing in, so keeping that in mind mother and I went shopping (at the mall) yesterday for dresses.

We went to Macy's, JC Penny's, Forever 21, and a different Macy's...It took about 4 hours. Then when we went back to JC Penny's and we found the perfect dress:

Is it wrong to accept cookies from strangers?

This weekend I had a sleep over with Maya, and when Maya comes over weird things always happen (like the cookie thing, but I'll get to that later)...

We had been planning this sleepover since the end of September. Maya was going to come over to my house on Friday (Oct. 8th) and we were going to order pizza and watch the return of Degrassi. Yes! It was really good. :)

The next day Maya really wanted to do something outside, so we walked to the shopping center a mile from my house. We were heading to Starbucks but (in front of the Giant next to Starbucks) we saw a table with a bunch of cookie boxes and this lady cleaning up. Maya said, "Oooo, cookies!!" and the lady said, "Yeah. Do you want them? I'm just cleaning up." and Maya said "Sure!"

The whole idea of a random lady giving us cookies freaked me out so I said, "Wait! What are they from?" Turns out she was selling them for this fundraiser (I don't even remember what it was for, a Hospital...I think.). We ended up taking them but we didn't eat any until we got back to my house. We did finally get our Starbucks, I got a Double Chocolate Chip frappuccino and Maya got a Mocha frappuccino...

When we got home my Dad looked at us (cookies, drinks and all) and said, "So, you'll eat cookies but not the pancakes I made?" Yeah...we kind of skipped out on breakfast because we ate a whole bag of Doritos that morning.

The next day Maya's mom took us to the mall where we had more Starbucks and another stranger offered us cookies. Weird, right? This time it happened when we were looking for a bathroom. We went into this little pink shop and asked the lady if she knew where one was and she said, "You can just use the one here. We can't have you girls walking cross-legged around the mall, now can we?" (Imagine that with a British accent...she had one) she led us to the back of the store and showed me the bath room, next to the bath room door there was a table of cookies. The lady told us we could have one on our way out if we wanted. We didn't this time.

I found this headband at Claire's and I swear, it's the only one that fits my head just right, so decided that it would be perfect if I happen to find a Homecoming dress with black in it. :)

After that we went to Macy's so I could try on Homecoming Dresses. Since I'm homeschooled I'll be attending Homecoming at Maya's school. I found the perfect dress! No joke. It fit perfectly and I loved it! It was Teal and brown (it looks way better than it sounds), we took a picture but it's on Maya's phone and she hasn't given me a copy yet. I'll post it as soon as I get it though. :)

*I GOT A NEW PHONE!* It's a Pantech Link. Full keyboard, camera phone. Perfect for texting! Yess! I've waited almost two years for this. My old phone was so old it still said "Cingular" on it. This one says "AT&T"...for sizzle, yo.

Glee

It's happened.

I have entered a world full of corny, annoying, music that seeps into your brain and never leaves.

Yes. I have become a Gleek.

I can still hear the faint sound of Don’t Stop Believing ringing in my ears.

My attempt at making a Glee poster pic = Fail.

When did this all start? About four weeks ago. My mother and I were watching TV (flipping through channels really) and I said, "Hey, Glee's on."

Mother: "Really? Let's watch!"
Me: *Sigh* "Okay..."

It was the last episode of season one, "Journey". They were singing at regionals.

That was it.

I had to know what next season had to offer! I was in love. The next week came and the new season had begun. Yes! It was really good. So was the week after, they nailed the Britney Spears episode. Not only did I have to know what happens next I had to know what happened all last season. So, I spent this week and half of last week watching all of season one online.

Last night’s episode was so good ("Grilled Cheeseus"). It was funny and sad...I almost cried a few times. :'(

I love Brittany's line "Heart attacks are just from loving too much..." I love Brittany's character. I also love Mr. Schuester. I think he's an amazing singer. Also, I wouldn't mind going back to school if he was my teacher... ;)

All n' all, it's an adorable show. Makes me wish I was in a Glee club.

Oh, I almost forgot! Darren Criss (Harry, in A Very Potter Musical) is going to be on Glee! Rumors say he's playing a gay student named Blaine, from a rival glee club...he may even be Kurt's love interest. I'm overly excited about this. XD

First day of school, Maya's Birthday, and oh yeah...I'm BACK!

Yes! I fixed my computer (temporarily, I'm still going to need to get it checked out.) don't ask how...I just did it and I'm very proud and kinda full of myself. :)

In all the time I wasn't blogging I really didn't do much. I watched TV, baked, did some drawing...very boring stuff. But, on Saturday I went to Maya's house for a sleepover and to celebrate her 15th birthday which is tomorrow (It's also my half-birthday). We had such a good time, we went to the pool, had cake and pizza, and watched some pretty awesome movies; Date Night, She's the Man, and (finally) Percy Jackson. I give Percy Jackson 4 stars as a movie and 2 1/2 stars for following the book...which it pretty much didn't. It was so funny and I love the cast, I just wish the girl who played Annabeth had blond hair like she did in the book. :)

So, today was the first day of school most of the kids (and teachers and adults who haven't left school yet) where I live. So I spent the day sleeping in, doing some school work, and pondering my friend's miserable Facebook statuses about today.

Shrink Magic

Okay, so it's not really magic (you just pop it in the oven) but it sure is cool!

My aunt got me three packages of shrink paper for Christmas two years ago and I still have over half of it! So the other day I spent most of my afternoon making little charms out of shrink paper. Here's what I came up with:

No Pictures Today... :(

Sorry I haven't posted in so long...Nothing really interesting had been happening until yesterday. I spent the whole day with Maya and her mom (50% of that time riding in the car); we went to look at The University of Richmond.

We started in this room full of people (Students of all ages and their parents) with this guy talking about why we should attend this school. I'm not sure he was very serious though; he was dressed in a green and white checkered shirt with a red, paisley bow tie and khaki pants. Nice.

Next we went on a tour of the campus...It was really nice. Everything was so close together and the student union was really cool! They had a whole room with gigantic flat screen TVs, bean bags, a pool table, pretty much a dream come true! We didn't stay with the group long due to the fact that Maya was hungry. So we spent the next hour driving around Richmond looking for a Red Robin. There wasn't one. So we stopped at Taco-Hut (Taco Bell/Pizza Hut) and got a snack. I got a taco and Maya got a pan pizza. After that we drove back to Woodbridge and went to the Red Robin there. Maya's mom didn't know how to get there, so I had to give her directions. I had a bacon cheese burger (I always get bacon cheese burgers...I like consistency. Sometimes I shake it up and get a BBQ bacon cheese burger. But only when I'm feeling extra crazy.) and I ate all my fries this time! Maya had some chili and her mom had chicken wings.

After our meal it was time they return me home. :( Yeah...But then Maya's mom stayed and talked to my parents for an hour and a half! Long enough for Maya and I to watch three episodes of Degrassi! She missed the first 22 episodes of this season...Tisk, tisk, Maya.

The whole day was filled with fun and laughs! Nothing is ever boring with Maya. :)

Now today was fun, too. Mother, Sterling, and I went to the pool, the pool where I taught Sterling how to swim Butterfly. Yes. He only just learned how to swim this summer and he's already swimming Butterfly! I also taught him how to breathe for Freestyle. He had been doing three strokes and lifting his head straight up to breath, when he should be breathing to the side. It wasn't a big deal; most kids his age and even older, can't breathe to the side yet. It wasn't something he had to learn now; I just wanted to see if he could do it. And he did! He did almost a perfect Freestyle! It was amazing. I'll take a video some time. :)

I also saw my friend Hannah at the pool! We only talked for a little while but it was nice to see her since I only see her on swim team. :)

When we got home my brother, Langston, cornered me and informed me that I had stolen a little zebra figure that belonged to him. When I asked him where he had found it, he said, "In your room". And when I asked what he was doing in my room he said, "Umm...Looking around..." Nice.

So today was very interesting, too...I'll try to take some pictures sometime of something and post them for you all!

So, this week my brothers and I built a bird feeder from a DIY set. It took us 3 days. Hey, it's a hard thing to do when the person in charge has a 10 minute attention span (Note: I was the person in charge).

Divisionsals was Saturday and we came in third place. :/ It was close though.

Talent Show and Last day of swim. {Video}

Let’s start with the talent show...

Last night was our annual "Barracuda Talent Show and Pasta Party" that our swim team has every year. It was so much fun! Even though it rained at the beginning. There were some pretty amazing acts. My friend Catie and her sisters sang The Lion Sleeps Tonight, they did a great job! One kid sang Down By Jay Sean (so cute!), 2 boys and their sister sang Hey Soul Sister by Train, and my little friend Lauren and her friends danced to California Gurls. One of my favorites was Maddie and her friends dancing to an NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye as dudes. Haha! Pretty cool ideas, right? But I think my brother’s was the best.

They made a sandwich. Yes.

Sterling (bro 2) stood in back of Langston (bro 1) and was his hands while he made the sandwich. Clever, right?

Now to today...

It was the last day of swim this year!!! Tomorrow is divisonals and Sunday is the Awards thingy. It was a fun day but very sad. It was also "Cool-The-Pool" day.

You see our pool has been way to warm lately...You may be wondering why that is a bad thing right? Well...when you are racing it makes a huge difference. You wanna go fast right? Yes. But warm water makes you sluggish and slow. Cold water, however, makes the water feel thinner and easier to move in, plus, its soo cold you wanna get out as fast as possible. ;)

Tomorrow we have to be at the pool at 5:45am for divisonals. For those of you who have no clue what divisonals are, it's like a championship for swimming. You see three teams compete instead of just two. It's a big deal. Yeah.

So I shall return to blogger next week with pictures and a trophy. :)

On Friday we picked up my cousin (Caroline) so that she could stay at our house for the night and come with us to the swim meet on Saturday. The swim meet that we won!!! I never saw the final score but we had been crushing them the whole meet. I failed all my events though. :(

When we came home we watched AVPS. Yes, it's out and it was "totally awesome"! Not as good as AVPM but still very funny. :)

Williamsburg

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted...in fact the last time I posted I was in Williamsburg! But now I am sadly at home. :(

Just kidding! I am at home but I'm okay with it. Today was my first swim team practice in a week and I am sooo tired. I think I may fall asleep before I'm even done posting. Well, let's just see how it goes.......

I hate rain....

Happy Saturday people!!

…Or not so happy if you're on the Ridgewood Barracuda swim team. Why? Well, let's see...I woke up at 4am this morning, helped pack up the van, went on a 45 min car ride, helped set up our tent, went to do warm ups in the pool in the freezing rain, only to be pulled out because of "thunder". They called off the whole meet and it didn't even storm. Fudge. How it this fair? I'm not gonna lie though, I was not looking forward to backstroke and I'm kind of relieved to be rid of it. But I'm still really mad because this was my last chance to swim with my team before heading to Williamsburg for the week. :-/

On this bright side....We're leaving tomorrow! Yay!! Hello Bush Gardens, tours, hotel, chilling with my home-skillet-cousin, Caroline, and just having the most amazing time ever!!!

{Btw, is anyone watching the Harry Potter weekend on ABC Family? I'm missing it due to the fact that Comcast is incompetent.}

I can't believe I let it go 2 weeks into July before I realized I've had the same icon...I've also not been keeping up with my "Teen Girl's Daybook". AHHHHH! Summer! Everything is sooo busy, with swim team and getting ready to go on a family vacation with my cousins. Yep! Williamsburg! Only 3 hours away but we're staying for a whole week inside a villa. Yep. ;) I'm sooo excited! My cousin Caroline and I are gonna explore the hotel that's near our villa. My parents said that they won't let us run loose like "Zack and Cody" (I really hate that show) but we'll find a loophole. ;) I'll be missing a whole week of swim plus a meet. My coach won't be too happy but I'll do some work-outs in the hotel pool.

Now back to business....

Hey everyone! Happy 4th of July! I hope you all are having fun with your families, we're not really doing anything this year, just taking it easy...It's kind of a hard day though, it's Bailey's birthday. She would have been 5. :(

On the bright side my grandparents (all four of them) came to my swim meet yesterday! I won two heat ribbons; one for IM (that's really good!) and one for Butterfly! I think we also won the meet. It's about time we did, the coaches have been working so hard this year to to bring us back to where we were two years ago. It's kinda funny though, most of our most of our really, really good swimmers ditched us for camp and one girl decided to move away and join the other team. Nice. But I really do think we won!

Coretta Scott King Book Awards {Video}

I got to go! Jealous?

It was amazing. I had such a great time with the other girls in my group. :) The speeches were very nice and it wasn't as boring as I thought it was going to be. The food was good too...but a little disappointing if you were a vegan. :/ They had eggs, bacon (yess!), sausage, hash browns, and a pastry basket. The room the event was held in was huge dining hall at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington DC. It was all very fancy...the napkins we folded real nice and we had 3 different cups; one for coffee or tea, one filled with orange juice, and the one filled with water. Fancy. ;)

Eclipse: the movie

I rate it:✫✭✮✯ out of 5.

It was really good! It definitely exceeded my expectations. :) I was really worried that out of the whole movie the most exciting part would be seeing the HP7 trailer (<---LINK!)....Boy was I wrong. For the first time I think this movie could possibly be compared to HP. Maybe... It really was that good. For once it was about more than Edward and Bella being so in love. It had more value. As much as I dislike Robert Pattinson, he plays his part well. He did a very nice job...I'm not switching teams though. I'm 100% Team Jacob. My Favorite parts were the ones with Bree and the battle scenes. The wolves were so real and believable.

****SPOILER**** there was this one scene with Jacob and Bella (Jacob as a wolf) that was so well done and so sweet. It really looked like they used a real gigantic red wolf for that part. Ah-Mazing. There were some really sad parts though...I almost cried. I think if a movie can make you cry then you know it's good...unless you're crying because you're laughing at how stupid it is.

I went with Maya. It was wayy more fun than seeing New Moon....

Where do I begin...

This week has been sooo busy. But incredibly fun at the same time!

Let's start with Friday...The day I thought I was sick. The day I had a fever of 99.8. The day before a swim meet. Yeah. I was sooo upset. I really thought I was gonna miss it. I mean everything hurt, arms, legs, head, throat...it was bad. But I felt fine when I woke up on Saturday (4:45am, btw) morning. Good thing too, they had me swimming all the hard stuff; IM, Breast, and Fly. I dropped time in everything! It was a good meet. Even though we lost...We always lose to Sudly. They are undefeated. Only one team has ever beaten them. Us. But that was 12 years ago and as you can tell a lot has changed since then. :-/

Anyway, on Sunday, we went to my Uncle Jr's house for a family gathering/cookout thing. It was tons of fun and I got to see my cousins that I haven’t seen in a while. :) Including my cousin Jurnee. My brothers and I hung out with her the whole time and we took a million pictures. {I'd post them but I don't know if it's okay for me to post pics of Jurnee on here..I forgot to ask.}

As for today… Today was swim team pictures. Aka: the most annoying pointless day of the whole swim season. I know why we have to do them I just don't like it. I skipped it last year but since Sterling is doing swim this year, mom wanted a photo of all 3 of us.

That's all for now, tomorrow my homeschool group is going to the Coretta Scott King Awards Breakfast. I have to wear a dress. :P Haha! Bye guys!

Why?
Well, today (earlier this morning) was great! My friend Alex and I were just hanging out with her little brother and his friends at swim practice until Alex came up with a game...It was pretty much a harder, more complicated way to play tag. Soon a bunch of other kids showed up; you see it was almost time for the 8 & under dryland (dryland is the exercising that we do before we get in to pool for swim) to start. All the other kids wanted too play so...we made room. Soon Coach Joe (the dryland coach/Emily's brother) came and asked what we were doing. We told him about the game and he let us continue it as part of the 8 & under dryland. :D It was awesome. The kids loved it and Alex and I had tons of fun (I think Joe liked the game too)!

Anyway...Alex and I had a sleepover last night and her stepmom drove us to swim in the morning. While we were at her house Alex straitened my hair:

Meet #1, RWB vs Victory Lakes/swim team pool party

We lost. :(

But not by much. Our team is improving a lot; I dropped time in freestyle and backstroke! Too bad that's all I swam. I had done such a good job in butterfly last week for time trials and I don't understand why I wasn't put in it this week. So I only swam 2 events. I felt like a loser. Most people swim 4 or 5 events. Oh well....I had a good time with my friends. And now to the Pool party... (Thursday night)

I had a blast! We played sharks and minnows the whole time and I did pretty well...Just kidding! I ROCK at it! Until I get tagged. I hung out with my new friend Alex and some other kids and we just had tons of fun! :)

Barracuda Time Trials 2010

Heyy guys!

Just stopping by for a quick post to tell you how swim team Time Trials went yesterday. For those of you who don't know what Time Trials are; it's like a practice meet. It gives the coaches an idea of what your swim season is gonna be like...for example: They make you do all 5 strokes (fly, back, breast, free, and IM) if you completely mess up on {let's say} fly, they know not to put you in that event for a real meet.

It was a pretty okay day...I had to wake up at 5am that morning but...I dropped 1.45 seconds in free, almost 3 seconds in breast, and over 9 seconds in fly!! And just so you know, fly is pretty much the hardest stroke, you need a lot of upper body strength (that I don't have). I was very happy with myself. The only thing is...I am really, really sore right now. Really. My arms, legs, back, and ribs hurt. I don't remember hurting this much just from a meet. Oh well, it was worth it. I think.

Btw.... I think I'm gonna change my icon. I have a much better Jacob one here:

First day of swim!

Yess!!
Today was the first day of swim practice and it was amazing! :) In spite of the fact that NONE of my friends except Maddie (who was coaching most of the time but we still talked a little though), were there. Nikkole did come, but just to ask the coach if she could still do the practice workouts even though she's not on the team.

I hope they let her.

Anyway, it was a good day because the coaching is totally different this year. Different in a good way. ;) You see, we kept losing and losing last year. This wouldn’t have been so bad if we were used to losing. You see 2 years ago we were the 3rd in the league...now we're like the one of the last. :P Sooo, even though it was only the first day the, you could feel it getting better. :)))
It was also good because my lane coach is gonna move me up tomorrow! Yeah!
So today was a good day...I hope tomorrow will be too! :D

Stolen bikes, hissing geese, and dancing ice cream cones! Oh my...

Yep.

I think this has probably been the most interesting weekend I’ve ever had. Ever.

It all started with Maya coming over (again) Friday night, this time for a double sleepover. Friday was normal but Saturday...well. It went something like this...

It started off with Maya and I taking my brothers on a walk to the marina to feed geese and play mini golf. When we got there we were surrounded by geese (we had a huge bag of bread with us). I gave everyone a piece of bread and we fed them. Soon more and more came...then a few started to hiss at us! It got to the point where Maya and my two brothers started to run away screaming. Although it was funny to watch....I knew it was time to go mini golfing... {I'll spare you the details}

After our adventure at the marina, we returned home. Maya and I got bored and decided to make a video. We went through my old Halloween consumes and dressed up. Then we went to the field across from my house (my old school, [aka: the place where I decided I wanted to be homeschooled] is right across the street. go figure). There, we set up the camera and began to dance to Poker Face. :]

{I'm not gonna post the video...we looked like idiots. I was an ice cream cone and Maya was a unicorn.}

After that.....We took my brothers to the play ground. Nooooo…not the one at the school (which is right across the street)...the big wooden one that is like half a mile away. Why? Maya wanted to see it.

On our way back home these two kids where riding their bikes. As they past us, my brother Sterling said: "Omg! That's Langston's bike! That's his seat!!!!!" and I said: "Shut up Sterling, you don't know what you're talking about..."

Boy was I wrong.

When we got home Langston’s bike was nowhere to be found. We all rushed inside and to tell my dad. Sooo...dad took Langston and drove him around until they found the kid at the Dollar Tree. My Dad had a talk with the kid and drove him home. Yeah. We know his address.

So that was a pretty full weekend.

The dig....

So, today I went with a new homeschool group to an Archaeology glass (you may have read that I was going if you come to my blog often). It was awesome!

We started out with taking a tour of the building (really old house) that had a bunch of stuff like, pottery, beads, arrow heads, and animal bones that they found on the site. It was really interesting learning about how they find these things; first they dived up the land with a grid. They use the grid to decide where to dig...if they dig in one place and find a bunch of things that was probably used in 1800's (or something like that) then they know that part of the land was us the most during that time. Same thing if they find things that may have belonged to Native Americans or even slaves. And that’s how they know where those people lived or worked during that time.
We had to use a lot of math to figure out where to dig...that part was reeeeaaallllyyy boring. Then we got to sifting. Sifting was pretty fun; I found a few pieces of pipe and a lot of brick.

But I think the most fun was after the dig was over. I met 2 girls that I have a lot in common with! We're all Team Jacob, we all watch Degrassi (I know, lame XD), we all like Paramore, and we all brought turkey sandwiches. Haha! We had a lot of fun just hanging out and talking, but we were soon joined by another really nice girl and then all four of us went down to the river to hang. Here are the pics...

Hey guys!

Sorry it was such a long gap between my posts...I’ve been going through a lot of crappy friend drama. :( Luckily for me, Maya (aka, the best friend ever!) and I hung out pretty much the whole day on Saturday!

We went to Petco and played with puppies, we had Mexican food for lunch, we went to Five Below, and we went Fairfax High School to see their production of Chicago! It was the coolest thing ever!! Everyone was amazing but this one girl who played Velma Kelly was incredible! Maya and I even got a picture with her! {I'm not gonna post it cuz I didn't ask if I could. Sorry!}

All in all...it was a really great day after a really crappy week.

Hey-ya!

So if you read my blog a while back (I don't know when I wrote the post...sometime last month I think) you may remember that my friend Eden when on a 40 day road trip to Cali and back {back being Virginia}. Well she just got home a few days ago and Friday night we had a sleepover at her dad's house with our other friend Miranda! It was soo much fun, we played truth or dare, ate pizza, drank wayyy too much root beer, watched movies and had a great time!

The sad part is Miranda had to go to bed early because she had a soft ball game the next day and Eden and I were gonna go...so the next morning Miranda woke up at 7am and left. Eden and I woke up around 12:00pm (we were gonna go to the second game that started at 12:45) and got ready. Then Eden went to check her phone and Miranda had texted her that the game was canceled. XP

That really sucked. So Eden's dad took us to this event at a fancy hotel for students from a bunch of different schools. It was pretty much a giant science fair. Almost every kid there was a guy wearing a suit; the few girls that were there were wearing suites too. It was really cool, watching them race cars in like 00:00 time and watching them control robots they made...there were also some really awesome dioramas.

It was a great time but it doesn't end there...

After the science fair, we went to the mall...a huge mall by the way. The first thing we did was eat lunch after we started walking to some stores when we saw to girls about our age holding a signed picture of some dude. I stopped them and asked who he was and: "I don't know, but he's signing and taking pictures here, you should go get one." We thanked them and that exactly what we did.

We ran around the mall looking for this guy and we finally did. It turns out he plays the character Zeke on Wizards of Waverly Place. We got our picture taken with him and he signed autographs. It was soo cool and he was soo nice!

And that was our day!

Change as in moving. Which, I am next week. I'm really excited!! I'm going to miss my home, I've lived here my whole life... :'( I'm gonna miss the house, the river/woods, and the people. We have a creek and woods at the new house but it's not the same...that's okay. I'll get over it since I have 2 rooms!

Yes! I have the basement bedroom and attached to it is a small office/loft and it's all mine! It’s a really ugly blue color but my parents are gonna paint it.

Oh, and I got NEW MOON on DVD! Yay! I'm gonna watch it tonight :)

*Sigh* Glad I got that off my chest...Anyway, sorry it's been soo long since I’ve posted, I’ve been really busy lately. Not the interesting kind of busy that's worth posting about...more like spring cleaning kind of busy.

Speaking of spring...ALL THE SNOW IS GONE! The sun is out and warm weather is back (not really warm, but I don't have to wear a winter coat)! Since it's all bright and shiny out my mother took me and my little brothers out to the park yesterday.

I had been thinking about doing a little photography lately but I never got around to do any, [spring cleaning] so going to the park was perfect! And I have to say; I think the pictures came out really nice...what do you think?

So yesterday I posted about Alice in Wonderland (a must see), I went on Saturday with my friends Maya, Eden, and Miranda as kinda a birthday thing (not a party, there was no cake). We saw the movie and went to Red Robin, where no one ordered a burger. *GASP*

Alice in Wonderland is one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. And it was even better in 3D!

I rate it: ✩✪✰✮✭

I will say it's not a kid movie. So please don't bring anyone under the age of 8 to see this...Unless you want to waste a ticket. I didn't find it scary, but someone younger might (it's very dark). Younger kids also won't get it. The plot is very different from the animated one, it's much darker and more complicated. I ♥ Tim Burton.

But in one word: Amazing.

Out with the old Alice...

I've been going to this site called Polyvore a lot lately and it's tons of fun! You can design your own clothing collections. Here are a few of mine:

First collection: Okay, this isn't one I would normally wear, (mostly because of the heels) however, I would normally wear the top and the yellow skinny jeans. :)

Second collection: This one is all around me! From the nail polish to the shoes! :)

Third collection: This one is also very me, but I think I went a little overboard with the blue. Herm..What do you think?

Forth collection: This one is very cute but...it's not really me. I can’t see myself wearing it. I can see myself complementing someone else on it...but not wearing it.

Fifth collection: This one i could see me wearing. I'm not a dressy-dress person but I think its simple enough for me :)

Anyway, I was supposed to go to the talent show at my dad's work (he works at a middle school) with Maya tomorrow...but today he had some chest pains and had to go to the ER so he's taking the day off. To make up for it Maya and I are having a sleepover! Yay! The last time we had one was on Maya's B-day (Sep. 8th, aka my half B-day).

Now there are 20 of you! Soon to be 25, I hope?

Anyway, I just stopped by to review the new Disney movie Starstruck (yes, I'm bored). It was surprisingly good. Really, really cute and funny! If you haven't seen it yet then you should, the acting was much better than I thought it would be. Sterling Knight is a really funny guy and I think he should get out of Disney and do something more grown up. My brother, (also named Sterling) really loved the movie...not just cuz he has the same name as the star, but because he loves music and he loves to dance. That kid has more talent than both me and my other brother, Langston combined. He's also a little comedian.

Anyway, this is a really cute movie and I think you should go watch it so I can feel like less of a loser :)

Spaghetti Tacos

Let's talk TV.

Now that I’m older I tend to watch less TV (due to the Internet, cell phones, and iPods), however...I have five favorite shows that I never miss (well two of them I don't really care if I miss) one of them is called iCarly.

iCarly is the cutest show ever (yes it's a kids show). Anyway, in the show they make a very interesting dish called "Spaghetti Tacos". I hate spaghetti but I love tacos, so last night I decided to try spaghetti tacos and....They were really good! Not like potpie good (I love potpie) but I could eat it sometimes.
